Morioka chilled noodles go back to the year 1954 when an immigrant from the northern parts of the Korean peninsula opened a meat grill restaurant in the middle of Morioka and started to include the dish based on Korean chilled noodles in the menu. The semi-transparent noodles have a firm texture with a distinguished biting sensation. For a richer savoury taste uses generous helpings of a soup stock made of boiled-down beef and chicken meat.
